Brooklyn Public Library hosts annual great American Book Drive
Brooklyn BookBeat
Brooklyn Public Library is encouraging patrons to bring their gently used books and drop them off at Central Library’s Plaza for the annual Great American Book Drive on Saturday, Oct. 5. Co-host Better World Books will sell the books to people all over the world, and a portion of each sale will go towards the Library’s programming and collections. Books can be purchased for $1 each, and kids can craft the day away at Grand Army Plaza. The event is sponsored by Astoria Federal Savings.
The Oct. 5 Book Drive is free and open to the public and will last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch is located at 10 Grand Army Plaza.
