
HOMECREST — POLICE HAVE RELEASED A PHOTO of a man wanted in connection with a shooting in Homecrest which took place on Monday, June 1.
According to authorities, a 19-year-old man was standing in front of the Chamber 13 clothing store at 1213 Avenue U around 2:30 p.m. when he was approached by an unidentified man who engaged him in an argument. While they were arguing, the unidentified man displayed a firearm and shot the victim in the back.
Police said the shooter fled on foot, traveling westbound on Avenue U and then northbound on East 12 Street. Emergency Medical Service transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
