CONEY ISLAND – PERENNIAL CHAMPION EATERS Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo won the crowns in the men’s and women’s divisions of the annual Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest on Saturday, reports ABC News.
Chestnut, defending his title, won for the 18th time with 66 hot dogs eaten in 10 minutes, while Sudo, also defending, won for the 12th time, with 38.75 hot dogs, both coming in shy of their world records, which Chestnut attributed to the day’s heat. The pair have dominated the competition for more than a decade, with Chestnut’s victory streak only being broken in 2024, when he did not attend due to a sponsorship dispute.
“”I’ve got so much room left,” Chestnut told reporters following the contest..
