
People from across the U.S. and Latin America will give firsthand accounts of how the negative impacts of fracking in their local communities and countries have harmed them at a panel on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. in the MayDay/People’s Climate March Arts Space at 214 Starr Street, 3rd floor in Brooklyn. The panel is one of discussions and events leading up to the People’s Climate March.
Speakers will include Madeline Stano, the Luke Cole Memorial Fellow for the Center on Race, Poverty, and the Environment; Jenny Lisak, co-founder of the Pennsylvania Alliance for Clean Water and Air; Asha Canalos, co-founder and co-director of Minisink Matters, We The People Matter, and Neighbors United for the Facts; Martin Guillermo Mullally, member, Observatorio Petrolero Sur and the People’s Climate Watch Global Climate Ambassador from Argentina.
