CITYWIDE — A MANHATTAN COMPANY recalled its infant formula due to a potential botulism contamination, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration announced.
Nara Organics issued a precautionary recall impacting all lots of its powdered infant formula. The FDA last Friday gave the company epidemiological information involving three cases of infant botulism in babies who had consumed Nara infant formula, according to a report that agency received from the CDC.
The infants were hospitalized and treated with BabyBIG in other states. Although Nara reports that its infant formula has not to date tested positive for botulism, the company said it “is taking aggressive action to ensure the safety of the babies and families.” It is working with the FDA, CDC and state-level partners on the root causes.
Nara Organics powdered infant formula was distributed nationally across Target retail stores, Target.com and Nara.com between July 2025 and June 2026. For refund requests and more information on UPC Lot numbers, readers can visit Nara Organics’ website.
