
DYKER HEIGHTS — MAIMONIDES HEALTH CELEBRATES its 21st annual Cancer Survivors Day and will launch a new program on Monday night at Dyker Beach Golf Course, according to the hospital network.
The event will welcome more than 500 cancer survivors, all of whom received or are currently receiving care and treatment at Maimonides Cancer Center. Their families, loved ones, Maimonides Cancer Center staff and caregivers who have supported them throughout their treatment will join them.
The Maimonides Cancer Center will on this occasion announce the launch of the Maimonides Breast Cancer Survivorship Program, with proceeds from the annual Pink Runway fundraiser. The Survivorship Program aims to ensure that participants receive the latest in customized patient care with enhanced convenience.
Presenters include Dr. Patrick Borgen, chair of Surgery and director and founder of the Maimonides Breast Center; Dr. Vishal Vashistha, medical director of the Maimonides Cancer Center; and Dr. Joshua Feinberg, chief of Maimonides Breast Center.
