CITYWIDE — NEW YORKERS IN ALL BOROUGHS have a chance to win free tickets to the 2026 USA Track & Field Outdoor & Para National Championships, taking place this weekend, Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced on Tuesday via press release. The city hosts the Para National Championships for the first time in history, and the Outdoor Championships for the first time since 1991.
Mamdani will give away 500 free tickets to the championships being held July 23-July 26, at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island. The event — which includes the USATF Outdoor Championships and USATF Para National Championship — will gather Olympians, Paralympians and rising Team USA athletes. The lottery window for free tickets is open until 11 p.m. on Tuesday, via nyc.gov/TrackAndField. Attendees can choose tickets to either Thursday or Friday’s events. Winners, to be notified Wednesday, may claim up to two tickets each.
Mamdani also announced a ticket discount to help more New Yorkers attend the championships. Individuals can use the promotional code “MAYOR10” at usatf.org/tickets during check out to receive a 10% discount.
The announcement was made in partnership with local nonprofits USATF New York, Central Park Track Club and New York Road Runners.
