BROOKLYN – AHEAD OF THE 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War Battle of Long Island, the Hendrick Lott House in Marine Park is holding interactive events on its historic grounds next month.
“Before the Battle,” on Aug. 2, will feature a panel discussion between archaeologist Alyssa Loorya and author Tom Campanella on the Lott family’s story and Brooklyn’s path to the Battle of Long Island. Guests can also explore a Continental Army camp and officer’s tent and take in a live performance by musical historian Linda Russell, and a color guard demonstration by the Sons of the American Revolution, Battle of Brooklyn Chapter.
The event is free and will take place on Sunday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lott House, located at 1940 E. 36th St.
