DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN – A slate of leading gun reform groups and advocates on Tuesday endorsed Rep. Dan Goldman, NY-10, for re-election in New York’s 10th Congressional District.
The endorsers include Brady PAC, which works to elect gun violence prevention champions; Fred Guttenberg, who has dedicated his life to reducing gun violence and saving lives after losing his daughter, Jaime, in the 2018 Parkland school shooting; and Jackie Rowe-Adams, who founded Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. after losing two sons to gun violence.

As a co-founder of the Congressional Dads Caucus and leader of the Gun Violence Prevention Working Group, Goldman has been on the front lines of the fight for common-sense gun reform throughout his time in office, earning himself an F rating from the National Rifle Association.
“Our country is suffering from a horrific yet preventable gun violence crisis. If we want to make real and lasting change, we need leaders in Congress with a track record of fighting for gun safety and a determination to pass common-sense reform. Congressman Dan Goldman has both,” said Kris Brown, President of the Brady Campaign and Brady PAC. “Throughout his time in office, Dan has introduced countless pieces of legislation that would make a real difference in curbing gun violence and keeping our communities safe from these senseless tragedies. Brady PAC is proud to endorse Congressman Dan Goldman for re-election.”
“For Dan Goldman, the fight against gun violence isn’t just political — it’s personal. As a father of five, former prosecutor and now member of Congress, Dan has seen how gun violence continues to tear through our communities, claiming innocent lives every day,” Guttenberg said. “Dan helped found the Congressional Dads Caucus, leads the Gun Violence Prevention Working Group and has a plan to reduce this senseless violence through common-sense gun reform. I’m incredibly proud to endorse Dan Goldman for re-election.”

“New Yorkers deserve a leader who will stop at nothing to make our communities safer from the threat of gun violence. We have one in Congressman Dan Goldman,” Rowe-Adams said. “Since Day One, Dan has made it his mission to fight for much-needed gun reform that will save lives and ensure brighter futures for our children. His advocacy on this critical issue is unmatched, and we must make sure he stays in Congress to continue leading this fight. I’m honored to endorse Dan Goldman for re-election.”
Goldman has always been a fierce leader and unrelenting advocate for gun reform to stop the senseless and preventable tragedies that continue to claim American lives. Throughout his time in office, he has introduced several pieces of legislation to make gun reform laws stricter, including but not limited to:
SUNSET PARK — “As a resident of Marine Park, one of the great surprises I found biking around Industry City and visiting Japan Village was to discover Bush Terminal Park. I continue to be amazed at the serene hideaways that the city offers in some of the busiest places — and, still, with an iconic view.”

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — ‘A miracle that no one was killed …’ That’s what neighbors are saying about the collapse of the Hotel St. George marquee. Shown in this photograph are workmen beginning the removal and repair of the historic, old neon sign at the corner, referencing a relic of Brooklyn Heights’ past: the St. George Hotel.

ATLANTIC AVENUE — Exhausted shopper with cluster of bags and goods from mall at Boerum Place stops to look at huge construction site across the street. “Is that REALLY going to be a jail??” Her male companion is reassuring, “Nothing like Rikers … this is 21st Century.”
BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Overheard in line at one of most popular pastry outlets on Montague Street: “Hope I can get them into a camp …” A mother with two pre-schoolers in tow was showing a friend the Dodge Y flyer for Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 18.
