Attorneys for the United States and for former President Donald Trump will be in Brooklyn on Tuesday when they appear before Hon. Raymond Dearie, who was appointed special master on the case Matter of Trump v. USA.
Judge Dearie, who was born in 1944 in Rockville Centre and graduated from St. John’s University School of Law, was appointed to the Eastern District of New York bench by President Ronald Reagan on February 3, 1986 and was confirmed by the Senate on March 14, 1986. He was previously chief judge of the court from 2007 until 2011 when he took senior status on April 3, 2011.
Judge Dearie was appointed special master by Judge Aileen Cannon to review the documents seized during a court-approved search of the twice impeached former president’s home in August. Dearie has a deadline of November 30 to issue interim reports and recommendations as needed.
Even though attorneys are appearing in Brooklyn on Tuesday, the actual case will be heard by the Southern District of Florida, West Palm Beach Division.

SUNSET PARK — “As a resident of Marine Park, one of the great surprises I found biking around Industry City and visiting Japan Village was to discover Bush Terminal Park.
