
BOROUGHWIDE — THE PAST SCHOOL YEAR’S ACADEMIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS and faith-nurturing in the Diocese’s Catholic Schools are the focus of a Currents News Special on NET-TV Friday evening.
NET-TV will premiere “School Year in Review,” a special edition of Currents News, on Friday, June 5, at 7 p.m. The half-hour broadcast will highlight student and faculty achievements and the impact of Catholic education across Brooklyn and Queens during the 2025-2026 academic year.
Topics include “Public vs. Private: The Catholic School Advantage,” a Bay Ridge school that unveiled a new exploration and innovation center, and an educator who attended Catholic school in Brooklyn and later became the first Black Catholic school teacher in the neighboring Diocese of Rockville Centre.
