MIDWOOD — A THREATENING LETTER, allegedly sent by convicted arsonist Menachem “Matthew” Karelefsky from the Clinton Correctional Facility, targeted Yeshiva Mikdash Melch on Ocean Parkway, warning of mass shootings in three zip codes, according to the Daily News.
Karelefsky was incarcerated for torching another rabbi’s home in 2019. The raging fire sent 13 people to Maimonides Medical Center and New York Community Hospital, the Brooklyn Eagle reported at that time.
The NYPD is on alert amid rising antisemitic incidents.
