
BUSHWICK – POLICE RESPONDING TO a 911 call on Tuesday morning discovered two people with gunshot wounds to the head in front of 1345 Jefferson Ave. – Gabriel Sanchez, 41, and Celina Ramos, 32. Both were pronounced deceased at area hospitals. A firearm was recovered on scene.
Police sources told amNY that the case is believed to be a murder-suicide, with Sanchez shooting Ramos and himself. Security footage obtained by the New York Post captured the attack. Witnesses said Ramos had attempted to flee from Sanchez, who allegedly had nine prior arrests, before being killed.
“He had his troubles, but I don’t know what to say,” said a witness to the Post. “Nobody thought he could ever do that! I know him a lot longer. They were together, but I don’t know her. I don’t know how long.”
