SUNSET PARK – TWO OF THE most high-profile legal cases in New York right now have an unexpected link: members of the legal teams of MDC Brooklyn inmate and hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and accused insurance CEO shooter Luigi Mangione are married, according to Complex. Mangione last week hired attorney Karen Friedman-Agnifilo to defend him against charges of shooting and killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in lower Manhattan earlier this month. She is married to attorney Marc Agnifilo, who is currently representing Combs – appearing in a TMZ documentary about the star’s legal troubles – and who has previously represented other notable clients, including convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein.
The pair’s relationship has reportedly led to conflicts before, according to the New York Post: Friedman-Agnifilo had to recuse herself from cases while at the D.A.’s office, due to Agnifilo representing the accused.
