CONEY ISLAND — ENTREPRENEUR DOLORES CATANIA and other cast members of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” are set to face off in a softball game against an all-star team of doctors from Maimonides Medical Center on Wednesday, raising awareness for breast cancer screenings as well as money for the hospital’s Breast Center cancer treatment clinic. Breast cancer is the most common form of the disease among American women, with one in eight women diagnosed in their lifetimes. Women who are screened annually have a 26% lower mortality rate.
The fundraiser will be held at Maimonides Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones, on Wednesday, Aug. 14. The first pitch will be thrown at 6 p.m.
