MANHATTAN — STUDENTS ATTENDING Bedford-Stuyvesant’s Asase Yaa School of the Arts will hold their 14th annual dance recital in Manhattan this Sunday. This year’s theme, Legacy in Motion, is rooted in the school’s history of passing on the artistic and cultural traditions to youth from one generation to the next. The choreography styles will include West African, classical, contemporary pop, hip hop, rap, R&B, jazz, and American standards. Students range in age from 2 to 17.
The recital will take place at The Kaye Playhouse, Hunter College, 695 Park Ave. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and showtime is 4 p.m. All tickets are $40 and can be purchased online.
