CONEY ISLAND — THE COLUMBIAN LAWYERS Association of Brooklyn welcomes Grace Borrino, Esq., for a Continuing Legal Education meeting on prenuptial agreements on Wednesday, May 6, at Gargiulo’s restaurant.
“Prenuptial Agreements: Practice Essentials and Pitfalls” will cover the basic principles of prenuptial agreements with specific cautionary pitfalls that a practitioner should be cognizant of when drafting an agreement.
A prenuptial agreement is a contract written by two individuals before marriage to define their rights and obligations regarding property and financial matters during the marriage and in the event of divorce or death.
“I think why this topic is important to convey to other non-matrimonial attorneys is because some practitioners who do not primarily practice in matrimonial law look at a prenuptial agreement as a basic contract that any lawyer can draft on behalf of their client,” Borrino said.
Borrino is a partner at Abrams Fensterman, LLP, and practices in the area of matrimonial and family law. She received her juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School and graduated cum laude from St. John’s University.
In addition to the CLE, the Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn will officially vote office new officers and board members into office for 2026-2027.

SUNSET PARK — “As a resident of Marine Park, one of the great surprises I found biking around Industry City and visiting Japan Village was to discover Bush Terminal Park.
