CITYWIDE – AROUND 10% OF Citi Bike’s e-bike fleet are trialing a new built-in phone holder attachment, the company told Streetsblog. The holders, made of rubber, are mounted on the inside of the bikes’ handlebars, and are intended to help riders reduce distractions and keep both hands on the handlebars while navigating.
Citi Bike said it hopes to expand this pilot program, and called the holders a “genuine safety improvement.”
