
MANHATTAN – THE U.S. MARSHALS and the NYPD on Tuesday arrested a man accused of shoving two other men onto the tracks at the Lexington Avenue – 63rd Street subway station in Manhattan, the New York Post reports.
Bairon Hernandez, 34, a migrant from Honduras, was arrested at a Brooklyn homeless shelter, sources said, and has been charged with attempted murder, assault, attempted assault and reckless endangerment. During the incident, which took place around noon on Sunday, Hernandez allegedly approached the two victims, ages 83 and 31, from behind as they waited on the platform, then allegedly shoved them forward onto the tracks before fleeing. Other passengers rescued the two men, who did not know Hernandez or each other.
Hernandez denied the allegations to reporters on Tuesday.
