
WILLIAMSBURG — WHOLE FOODS MARKET announced on Tuesday that it plans to open one of its smaller-format stores, called Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, in Williamsburg on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
According to the company, the 7,888 square-foot market, at 774 Grand St. and Humboldt Street, will feature fresh, seasonal produce; meat and seafood; artisanal cheeses; prepared food options, including hot rotisserie chicken, entree salads, sandwiches and breads; supplements; and specialties from New York-based suppliers, such as lamb merguez sausage from Brooklyn Cured.
Whole Foods Market is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon, and Prime members will receive various discounts.
Operating hours will be 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily. On opening morning, customers will enjoy samples from local suppliers, and the first 300 customers in line will also receive a limited-edition tote bag.
