
PROSPECT HEIGHTS – THE BROOKLYN MUSEUM is hosting a family-friendly celebration of the Lunar New Year in February to ring in the year of the horse. Guests can enjoy lion dance performances by the Chinese Freemasons Athletic Club, and learn at hands-on workshops, including on needle felting, circuitry, citrus experimentation, paper lantern design and more. The museum is also offering drop-in art-making inspired by horse-themed pieces in its collection, and pop-up art talks in English and Mandarin.
The museum’s Lunar New Year celebration takes place on Saturday, Feb. 15 from noon to 4 p.m.; events are free with pay-what-you-can admission. More information can be found on the museum’s website.
