HOMECREST — AN UNIDENTIFIED MAN is wanted in a second unsettling incident that police are describing as “unlawful surveillance.” On Wed., July 23, around 5:30 p.m., a 46-year-old woman at the Homecrest Target store, located at 1715 East 13th St., was approached from behind by a man who took out an “electronic device” and placed it under her skirt, police said. In the earlier incident, which took place on July 9 around 8 p.m., the same suspect allegedly came up behind a 26-year-old woman and placed a similar electronic device under her skirt. In both cases, the man fled, leaving the women uninjured. The suspect is described as having a light complexion and was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and black shorts.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or on X @NYPDTips.
