
BROOKLYN — BROOKLYNITES are invited to gather in parks and other locations across the borough on Tuesday, Aug. 5, beginning at various times in the late afternoon, to celebrate National Night Out. The event, hosted by local police precincts with officials and community organizations, includes free food and beverages, awards, music and performances. NNO builds positive relationships with the police and helps make neighborhoods safer.
The 84th Precinct Community Council is sponsoring NNO in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Pier 5 beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, while the 72nd Precinct Community Council is sponsoring NNO in Sunset Park, 44th St. and Sixth Ave., beginning at 3 p.m. See NYC’s NNO website for more locations.
