BAY RIDGE — FOUR ACADEMIC GRADES AT Bay Ridge Catholic Academy together presented the school’s spring musical, “Finding Nemo Jr.,” last weekend in Our Lady’s Hall at Our Lady of Angels. Music teacher Jessica Bailey directed the production, and the cast featured all the students of the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades. The students played sea animals, including sharks, jellyfish, turtles and more. All three performances — on Thursday, May 15 to Saturday, May 17 — were well-attended, with 775 tickets sold.
“The students from 5th to 8th grade spent months rehearsing, memorizing lines, and practicing choreography to put on this production. This was made possible by the leadership of Ms. Bailey, our very own music teacher, and all of the parent and teacher volunteers who support this effort,” said Paul Morisi, principal of Bay Ridge Catholic Academy.
“Finding Nemo Jr.” is an adaptation of the 2003 movie, about a clownfish and his son Nemo, who wants to explore beyond their abode in the Great Barrier Reef. After Nemo disappears, a search goes out for him in which the characters learn about love, courage, perseverance, hope and friendship.

SUNSET PARK — “As a resident of Marine Park, one of the great surprises I found biking around Industry City and visiting Japan Village was to discover Bush Terminal Park.
