BOERUM HILL — A NEW ROMAN-STYLE Italian restaurant, Lele’s Roman, will take over the Ace Hotel Brooklyn’s lobby at 252 Schermerhorn St. in Boerum Hill this May, according to Eater NY. Replacing the shuttered As You Are, the spot from LDV Hospitality promises a day-to-night menu with breakfast maritozzi, pasta like cacio e pepe and pinsas. Chef Francesco Battisti, ex-Waldorf Astoria Doha, Qatar, leads the kitchen. Studio Tre’s redesign will merge the hotel’s Brutalist vibe with 70s Italian funk, Eater reports.
LDV has ties to Ace’s Manhattan owner, GFI Capital. Amid Ace’s national closures, this move brings a refresh to Brooklyn’s hotel dining landscape.
