
BROOKLYN NAVY YARD — THE BROOKLYN CHAMBER of Commerce will return for its fifth annual Energy Summit and Trade Expo June 18. The all-day event will take place at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Dock 72, and will bring together leaders in business, government, utilities and innovation.
Doreen Harris, president and CEO of New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, will serve as the keynote speaker. In her role, Harris is responsible for advancing New York’s clean energy goals, including the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 85% by 2050. Under her leadership, NYSERDA is making significant progress in areas such as renewable energy infrastructure, energy storage and building decarbonization.
In addition to remarks from Harris, there will also be a series of panel discussions that will include scaling clean energy technologies to build a resilient grid, EV infrastructure and equity, grid resilience and AI, and more.
