
GOWANUS — AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING LOTTERY is now open at a mixed-use building in Gowanus dubbed “Union Channel,” reports NY YIMBY. The nine-story, modern residence, which is located at 240 3rd Avenue, was constructed by Charney Companies and Tavros Capital and designed by Fogarty Finger. Union Channel has many amenities, including a pool, a gym, bike lockers, other exercise infrastructure and a terrace on the roof. There are 224 residences at the building and 58 units available through NYC Housing Connect.
For those making 40% (income range: $32,000 to $49,000) of the Area Median Income, there are studios available for $848, as well as one-bedroom apartments available for $878 to approximately $900; units are offered in various income ranges up to 130% of the AMI.
