SHEEPSHEAD BAY – POLICE ARE SEARCHING for an unknown man in connection with two hate crime criminal mischief incidents in Southern Brooklyn.
At around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, a man approached the rear of a medical facility at 2101 Avenue X and used a black marker to write anti-Islamic statements before fleeing. Then, shortly before midnight on Thursday, June 18, the same individual wrote more anti-Islamic statements in Bill Brown Playground, on Bedford Avenue.
Images released by police appear to show the suspect to have a light complexion and dark hair. He was wearing a black shirt and denim shorts.
