BROOKLYN — A 25-YEAR-OLD MAN was taken into custody March 19 after a high-speed pursuit that began in Hoboken, N.J., crossed the Goethals Bridge and ended in a multi-vehicle wreck on the Belt Parkway, ABC7 reports.
The chase was triggered by reports that the suspect had abducted his girlfriend at gunpoint. His sedan struck as many as nine vehicles, including a patrol car, before officers brought the pursuit to an end. A firearm was recovered from the car.
The woman believed to be the victim was reported uninjured. The suspect faces multiple charges in two states.
