MIDWOOD – POLICE SAY THAT a woman stole almost $100,000 in jewels in a broad daylight robbery earlier this month.
At around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, the thief entered the Aqua Jewels by Monica store on East Fourth Street and removed jewelry worth around $94,000 from a display case. She then fled the location in a black minivan traveling south on East Fourth.
The suspect is described as a female with a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a black dress, a black jacket and a black hat.
