PROSPECT HEIGHTS – SEVEN PEOPLE WERE injured on Saturday when a fire broke out at the Blew Smoke cigar lounge on Washington Avenue, the New York Post reports. All seven suffered only minor injuries; five were brought to an area hospital for treatment, according to the FDNY.
Around 80 first responders worked through the subzero temperatures and snowdrifts for around an hour in the early hours of the morning. The flames were brought under control at around 2:40 a.m.
The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
