MARINE PARK — Valentin Ivancsuk, a 30-year-old motorcyclist, was fatally struck by an FDNY truck at Flatbush Avenue and Avenue U just before midnight on Sunday. Authorities said the truck was responding to a call, and had had its lights and sirens activated, according to News 12.
Ivancsuk was pronounced dead immediately. The fire truck remained on scene, and police are investigating.
Neighbors expressed sorrow for Ivancsuk’s family.
