PROSPECT HEIGHTS — THE BROOKLYN MUSEUM JUST ANNOUNCED ITS LINEUP OF PROGRAMMING FOR APRIL 2025. A variety of new and old events aim to invigorate the community this spring.
Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra is performing “Sublime Landscapes” at the Museum from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. On Wednesdays, April 16 and 23, families are welcome on the fourth floor Decorative Art and Design Galleries with Stroller Tours: “Breaking the Mold” — a baby-friendly tour designed for children up to 24 months old with touchable objects, songs, exploration of artworks on view and time for community connection. To celebrate Earth Day, the Museum is hosting a free ear acupuncture and plant education event with educators from Herban Cura on April 19 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. On Thursday, April 24, from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. poets and co-founders Mahogany L. Browne and DJ Jive Poetic are presenting a pay-what-you-can Brooklyn Poetry Slam. To close out the month, Brooklyn Museum’s biggest fundraising night is back on April 29, with the 2025 Brooklyn Artists Ball After Party. After Party tickets are now on sale to the public for the 9 p.m. to midnight event featuring Swizz Beatz, a curated cocktail menu, after-hours exploration of the galleries and one-night-only artist activations.
