
BOROUGHWIDE — THE YMCA OF GREATER NEW YORK wants to help people honor their New Year’s resolutions on fitness by hosting several Winter Open House events this Saturday, Jan. 11, at 21 of its branches, including seven in Brooklyn. Attendees at the Open Houses, running generally from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be given tours of their chosen facility, try activities offered at the Y for free, meet the staff and learn about the Y’s Winter Membership special. Brooklyn branches participating include the Dodge YMCA on Atlantic and Court streets in Downtown Brooklyn, the Bed-Stuy YMCA, Coney Island YMCA, Greenpoint YMCA, North Brooklyn YMCA, Park Slope Armory YMCA and Prospect Park YMCA. Activities offered range from Zumba at the Greenpoint branch to arts and crafts at the Park Slope Armory branch, among many more activities across the five boroughs.
