Brooklyn Heights’ annual dog show drew nearly 75 contestants, raising money for pet care while celebrating neighborhood canine companions.

The Brooklyn Daily Eagle and the DeNiro Team at Brown Harris Stevens are sponsoring the Dog Show on Montague Street.

The outdoor marketplace, running between Clinton and Henry streets from noon to 6 p.m., features roughly 60 makers.

Officials, volunteers and neighborhood kids cut the red ribbon, a snip at a time, and the next phase of a neighborhood tradition was launched.

Some speculated that the former site of Bentley’s on Montague Street, where a for-rent sign recently came down, could fit the bill.

Some kids like glue sticks and glitter. Others like rampaging through tunnels or shooting bows and arrows.

Though only the second year for the gigantic get-together, the event has already become a beloved neighborhood tradition.

Grace Gray Faison, one of the iconic matrons of Brooklyn Heights, passed away on April 26 at the age of 101, and with her a host of memories.

Brought back by popular demand, the get-together takes place on Saturday, May 16, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Brooklyn Heights.
