SUNSET PARK – THE METROPOLITAN DETENTION Center jail cell of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was recently raided by federal authorities, reports TMZ, with prosecutors seizing material including notes on witnesses and court strategies ahead of Combs’ upcoming trial. The star’s lawyers at a press conference this week told reporters that the documents seized were protected under attorney-client privilege, and claimed that the government was violating Combs’ constitutional rights.
The star’s defense attorneys in a separate recent hearing offered a $50 million bail package that would see Combs released on house arrest. Prosecutors argued against bail, alleging that Combs had been seeking to influence witnesses from jail by making phone calls from other inmates’ cellphones and would be a risk for doing so while outside.
