
SUNSET PARK — POLICE ARE ASKING the public to help identify a suspect who allegedly used a glass bottle to strike a 24-year-old man in the ear, and then punched him in the back with a closed fist, putting him in the hospital.
According to authorities, the assault took place on Wednesday, May 27, at roughly 2:30 a.m. inside of a mixed-use building at 5112 7th Ave. in Sunset Park. Police said the unidentified individual approached the victim and a verbal dispute ensued, leading to the assault. The suspect then fled northbound on foot.
The victim sustained a laceration to the ear and was transported by Emergency Medical Services to NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn in stable condition.
