BOROUGHWIDE – BOROUGH PRESIDENT ANTONIO Reynoso on Tuesday announced that 78 NYCHA Tenant Associations across the borough would be receiving up to $3,000 each in funding, from a total of $125,000 allocated in this year’s budget. The funding is intended to support programming for residents, including events like family days and backpack giveaways, and other programs for NYCHA residents. Awards were based on each development’s population.
Details were announced at an appreciation breakfast for TA presidents at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Brooklyn Heights branch. Over the last three years, Reynoso has allocated a total of $365,000 to NYCHA TAs.
