On Wednesday, July 17, Access Justice Brooklyn held a free workshop for homeowners at IMPACCT Brooklyn’s main office in Prospect Heights.
The event addressed critical homeowner issues such as foreclosure and building violations, providing essential legal assistance directly to community members.
The workshop was part of Access Justice Brooklyn’s ongoing efforts to support residents in need of legal guidance. By partnering with pro bono attorneys, the organization aims to ensure equal access to the legal system, focusing on family stability, aging comfortably, managing personal finances, housing, and freedom of movement.

Access Justice Brooklyn’s services are designed to assist those who cannot afford legal representation, using income guidelines based on the federal poverty level to determine eligibility. The organization prioritizes helping Brooklyn residents living at or below 200% of these guidelines.
AJB’s mission is to provide high-quality, pro bono legal services and community education to ensure a more accessible and equitable legal system for all Brooklyn residents.
