Brooklyn Today March 8: Brooklyn Today: Battle brewing over Industry City rezoning

The Lede

A storm is brewing between the owners of Industry City and Councilman Carlos Menchaca. The Sunset Park complex wants to move forward with a massive redevelopment, but Menchaca is saying not so fast. The pol has objected to several plans that would have drastically altered his district, including the BQX streetcar project, AECOM’s Red Hook high-rises, and an overhaul of the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal.
