    A self-propelled liftboat  — which can lift its A self-propelled liftboat  — which can lift itself out of the water on three cylindrical legs and transform into a suspended platform — sailed into Gowanus Bay last week. “LEGS III” — an offshore work boat, initially used in the Gulf oil patch and then for marine towing and salvage — will take on a third life in service of the environment, as a collective resource for environmentally-focused nonprofits and schools.     The man accused of gunning down UnitedHealthcare’s CEOoutside a Manhattan hotel is now in a federal jail in Brooklyn, after he was returned to the city in dramatic fashion to face charges that could bring the death penalty. Luigi Mangione is being held without bail at Sunset Park’s Metropolitan Detention Center, the same federal jail where hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and cryptocurrency fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried are currently detained.     After numerous bumps in the road, the Barbati fami After numerous bumps in the road, the Barbati family has opened the long-anticipated second location of Brooklyn’s legendary L&B Spumoni Gardens pizza restaurant — bringing an 80-year tradition to DUMBO.
