    Mayor Eric Adams and New York City Department of T Mayor Eric Adams and New York City Department of Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez on Friday announced that the city will finally shut down operations at a controversial concrete recycling facility on the western Brooklyn waterfront by this August. Local residents had been flooding their elected officials with complaints about the dust, vibrations and noise from the SIMS Concrete Recycling Facility, operated by NYC DOT, ever since it was temporarily relocated to the north end of Brooklyn Marine Terminal site in the Columbia Street Waterfront District in February 2024. 🔗Read more at the link in bio.
