Many of the 100,000 people who held city-issued Brooklyn Bridge Park viewing tickets for the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks called the event a “total fiasco,” with a large number not making it onto the piers.

Numerous people told the Brooklyn Eagle they found themselves in panic-inducing logjams while trying to get into the park.

Many commenters said there appeared to be no central coordination for handling the huge crowds, and photos show unsafe, crammed streets.

The surrounding neighborhood will face major disruptions starting at 2 PM:
 🔒 Street closures 🪪 Mandatory ID checks for residents 🚫 No vehicle access in key areas 🚷 Clark Street subway station skipped from 8–11 PM
