    A man was shot and killed in a hail of gunfire in A man was shot and killed in a hail of gunfire in the early morning of Jan. 11 in Carroll Park, shocking neighbors in the leafy brownstone-Brooklyn neighborhood of Carroll Gardens. Police, who said they responded to a 911 call triggered by a ShotSpotter activation around 2:48 a.m., identified the victim as Jordan Dillard, 23, a resident of 37 Centre Mall at the Red Hook East NYCHA project, roughly a mile away from the park. “It was nine shots,” said Carroll Gardens resident John Thompson. “Clearly from a semi-automatic.     The “barge” part of Bargemusic — Brooklyn’ The “barge” part of Bargemusic — Brooklyn’s iconic floating concert hall — is no more.  On Monday, the rusting 19th-century barge was towed from its slip at Fulton Ferry Landing near the Brooklyn Bridge, to meet its end at a shipyard in Staten Island. More than 5,000 concerts — mostly classical, with American contemporary and jazz mixed in — had been performed inside the cozy, wood-paneled hall with its red-brick fireplace, delighting music lovers and launching musical careers since 1977. Hajj Lovick, 48, was convicted last month of second-degree attempted murder for opening fire outside Lover’s Rock, a neighborhood bar, and striking a 51-year-old man in the leg early in the morning on June 15, 2023.
