    Get your paddles ready because a new pickleball fa Get your paddles ready because a new pickleball facility is opening in Gowanus on Sunday. PKLYN, located on Fourth Street between Hoyt and Bond streets, will have five courts across the 18,000-square-foot facility. Founder and Managing Partner David Friedman got the idea for PKLYN during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though a long-time player, he got most interested in pickleball when he found a community of players at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 2 and played the game daily with a regular group.     Ice skating will be back at Emily Warren Roebling Ice skating will be back at Emily Warren Roebling Plaza under the Brooklyn Bridge this winter — and while the views will still be spectacular, the skating will be more affordable.  Admission will cost just $10 for all ages and all times, with no peak pricing, and with equally-affordable skate rentals.
