Helicopter tour company to shut during investigation

MANHATTAN – THE TOUR company whose helicopter fell into the Hudson River last week, in a crash that killed a family of five passengers and the pilot, will cease operations immediately during the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board’s investigation into the disaster, the FAA stated on Sunday. Divers are continuing to comb the river for parts of the helicopter, in an effort to uncover the cause of the incident.
Sen. Chuck Schumer earlier had called for the company, New York Helicopter Tours, to have its permits revoked by federal authorities, according to Sky News.
