Bushwick creative space coming to 75 Steward Ave.

BUSHWICK — BROOKLYN SPARK, a new creative “makerspace,” is coming to 75 Stewart Ave. Co-founded by nine creatives, the space aims to provide round-the-clock access to workshops with tools such as a laser cutter, 3D printers, sewing machines and looms, as well as a ceramics studio and other spaces, for a $165 monthly membership. Spark says it welcomes crafters of all skill levels.

“We believe the makerspace movement is only growing,” co-founder Caleb Young, who left a career in mechanical engineering to pursue this venture, told Gothamist. “I think there is a huge demand.”
