Sparks spotted on Brooklyn’s LIRR tracks

CROWN HEIGHTS — SPARKS WERE OBSERVED falling from LIRR train tracks in Brooklyn early Thursday, reports PIX News, leading to flames that caused firefighters to cordon off the street near the Nostrand Avenue LIRR station. A video posted on the Citizen app captured the fire at Buffalo Avenue and Atlantic Avenue shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Fortunately, the track fire did not result in any reported delays on the LIRR line.
