BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — A BROOKLYN HEIGHTS BAR canceled its plans, for now, to present before Brooklyn’s Community Board 2 Tuesday, Feb. 4, regarding an alcohol license for a new location.  Floyd, a popular bar with an indoor bocce court formerly located at 131 Atlantic Ave., is seeking to reopen at 72 Clark St. between Hicks and Henry streets (most recently an acupuncture office). However, Floyd’s owners have voluntarily withdrawn from the list of alcohol reviews scheduled for Tuesday, according to the CB2 agenda. No reason was given for the withdrawal.

According to paperwork filed by one of the owners, Kevin Avanzato, the bar will seat 16 at two tables and 24 at the bar for a total of 40 seats. It will feature rustic decor and will have a pizza oven, bocce playing area and three TVs for live sports viewing. Only background music will be played.
