Housing lottery open for 288 4th Ave. in Gowanus

GOWANUS — LOCAL RESIDENTS CAN now apply for a housing lottery for one of Gowanus’ newest luxury buildings, 288 4th Ave. The 14-story tower hosts 66 apartments, with 18 of them designated affordable housing, according to NY YIMBY.
The affordable units are available for households earning 40 to 130% of the area median income, or from $33,086 to $181,740. Monthly rents start at $880 for studios and max out at $3,661 for one-bedroom apartments, at the top of the affordable range. Tenants cover electricity costs.
Designed by Fischer Makooi Architect, the pet-friendly building also offers a dog-washing station, a gym, storage, a virtual doorman and a rooftop terrace. Units have washers and dryers, hardwood floors, balconies and high-end kitchens.
The housing lottery for 288 4th Ave. is open on NYC Housing Connect until Feb. 12.
